Brad Farnsworth

Principal of Fox Hollow Advisory; Former Vice President of the American Council on Education

Brad Farnsworth is vice president of the American Council on Education and head of its Center for Internationalization and Global Engagement. He leads the effort to advance internationalization on ACE member campuses through conferences, workshops, institutes, publications, and web-based resources. He also coordinates ACE’s global engagement strategy, which engages associations, governments, and corporations outside the United States to advance the goals of higher education globally.


Karin Fischer

Journalist at Chronicle of Higher Education focusing on international education, research associate at the Center for Studies in Higher Education at the University of California at Berkeley

Karin Fischer is a longtime higher-education journalist with a focus on international education, including American colleges’ activities overseas, the globalization of the college experience, and study abroad. Her extensive reporting on international-student recruitment and the experience of foreign students in the U.S. has been collected in Chinese Journey: Student Migrations, Family Dreams and What Happens Next.

Alanna Shi is the founder of Shanghai CEDAR Charity Foundation, a non-profit education charity organization. She is also the founder and CEO of Shanghai LeadPro Management Consulting. She is responsible for global strategic planning and managerial consulting in top 200 multinational companies.


Dr. Alfred Bloom

Executive Vice Chancellor of Duke Kunshan University, founding vice chancellor of NYU-Abu Dhabi

Before joining the Duke Kunshan University leadership team in July 2020, Dr. Bloom served as the founding vice chancellor of NYU-Abu Dhabi from 2008-2019, directing the planning, development and operations of one of the most successful international higher education ventures in recent years.
